The Senior Centre offers indoor pickleball, line dancing, chair yoga, fitness classes, walking club, along with bridge, canasta, euchre and social events including dances.

There are two primary schools including a French immersion programme in Port Dover, and the secondary schools are just 15 minutes away in Simcoe. Simcoe also has a full service hospital, movie theatre and the larger chain stores such as Superstore, Sobeys, Walmart, Winners, Rona, Canadian Tire, etc. 

The beach boasts a sandy shoreline, warm water with gentle waves, a picturesque view of the lake, and even real palm trees.
